FRANCO’S POLICY
READY TO COLLABORATE IN PACIFICATION. BUT WARNING ISSUED AGAINST “ENCIRCLEMENT.” By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. MADRID, May 20. In the course of a broadcast today General Franco said he intended to collaborate in the pacification of Europe, but issued a warning to “certain nations” against the adoption of a policy of economic encirclement. There must be no attempt to lessen Spain’s sovereignty or her economic or political liberties for which she went to war, added General Franco.
