Witos, three times Prime Minister and recently returned from 10 years’ self-imposed exile in order to uphold in the present crisis a Government which he has long opposed, has been re-elected leader of the Peasant Party numbering 8,000,000. In a speech he said: “We stand united in the defence of independence.”
