SHOOTING MISHAP

WELLINGTON MAN INJURED AT WOODSIDE. RIFLE ACCIDENTALLY DISCHARGED. As the result of the accidental discharge of a rifle at Woodside on Saturday a young man named Keith Cross, of Karori, Wellington, was admitted to the Masterton Hospital with a gunshot wound in his thigh. Accompanied by Thomas Percy Hedges, the injured man was on a shooting expedition and when they were about to engage in some target practice outside a whare at Woodside, Hedges’s rifle accidentally discharged, the bullet entering his companion’s thigh. He is making satisfactory progress.
