FAREWELL TO MISS BENSEMAN. The Masterton staff of the W.F.C.A. recently farewelled Miss Jean Benseman, who has severed her connection with the firm in view of her approaching marriage. Mr J. H. Cunningham, general manager, said that Miss Benseman’s resignation had come as a surprise to everyone, and certainly to himself, as he had no idea that a wedding was in the offing. However, he was very glad to be able to wish Miss Behseman every happiness in the future. Although she had been at the Masterton branch for about a year only, prior to that she had been with the Greytown branch for some six years. Whilst with the firm, Miss Benseman had been very popular with her fellow workers by reason of her pleasant and cheerful disposition, and her work had always been of a very high standard. He was sure she would be missed from the office. Although leaving the firm, she was not leaving the district, and no doubt they would see something of her from time to time. As a parting gift, Mr Cunningham asked Miss Benseman to accept from the staff a dinner service to help to remind her, he hoped, of the happy time she had spent with the Wairarapa Farmers. Miss Benseman suitably acknowledged the gift.
