WOMEN’S DIVISION
RANGITUMAU BRANCH. RESULTS OF COMPETITIONS.’ (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Rangitumau branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers! Union was held on May’ll when Mrs D. James presided over a small attendance. Remits for the Dominion Conference were read and discussed and the year’s programme was partly drawn up. I Several members generously donated points prizes for different sections in the competitions, points to be counted up till March 31. The president donated a special prize for the best wagon cover hand-work-ed, by March 31. The branch accepted Mrs Stuart’s offer of ..the use of her home for the June meeting. Mrs Jackson, a visitor from the Turakina branch, very kindly acted as judge of the month’s competitions and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The competitions resulted as follows: — One bloom: Mrs Duckett; 1; Mrs James, 2. Three blooms: Mrs Wrigley, 1; Mrs Duckett 2. Apron: Mrs Wrigley, 1; Mrs K. Wilton, 2. The following competitions were arranged for the June meeting:—One shrub; three shrubs; eggless cake (fruit or plain); thrift article (only waste material to be used).
