INDOOR BOWLS
MASTERTON CLUB. RINK COMPETITION RESULTS. The Masterton Indoor Bowling Club carried the rinks section a further stage last week. Each rink has now played five games and Nuttall’s team has not yet been beaten. The new members are now showing promise which augers well for keen competition in the pairs section. The results of last week’s games are as follow: —Fenton 22 beat Leigh 10; Dixon 22 beat Finlayson 14; Nuttall 23 beat Edwards 14; Pickering 26 beat Hendry 19; Joyce 22 beat Finlayson 13; Leigh 20 beat Edwards 19; Dixon 24 beat Davies 11; Fenton 22 beat Pickering 12. The games arranged for this week are as follow: —Wednesday, 7 p.m., No. 1: Pickering v. Edwards; No. 2, Joyce v. Davies. 8.30 p.m., No. 1: Leigh v. Hendry; No. 2, Dixon v. Nuttall. Thursday, 7 p.m., No. 1: Leigh v. Nuttall: No. 2, Finlayson v. Hendry. 8.30 p.m., No. 1, Fenton v. Davies: No. 2. Dixon v. Edwards. When members find it impossible to attend they are asked to try to notify their team or the club secretary.
