GREYTOWN

PAPAWAI PA. RENOVATION COMMITTEE MEETS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Papawai Pa renovation committee held a meeting at the Pa on Sunday afternoon. Those present were Messrs H. Manihera (chairman), G. Te Whaite, E. Kingi, S. Nicholls, H. T. Rees, H. Evans and Mrs Heke Boyd. Mr H. Evans was appointed trustee and Mr H. T. Rees treasurer. The committee reported that all the timber from the demolished building had been sold except that required for extending the present meeting house. Mr Johnson, of the Public Works Department, gave the committee a verbal report on the cost, etc., of removing and renovating the present building. Mr B. Roberts, M.P., who was present at the meeting, promised to have the report sent on to the Government for consideration. ■lt was resolved that all competition books have the treasurer’s authority before issue. Miniature Rifle Club. There was a large attendance of members at the first shoot of the season which took' place at the Crown Theatre range on Friday night. Mr G. Rhodes with 100 and Miss L.
