MOTHER’S DAY

SPECIAL SERVICES HELD YESTERDAY. Special Mothers’ Day services were conducted in the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church yesterday. The church was beautifully decorated with white flowers. The Rev R. S. Keenan conducted the special service and took as his text "The mother of Jesus was there.” The speaker followed the different incidents in the life of Jesus when His mother was present and impressed on the congregation how much influence mothers had on the life of their children. At Eketahuna there was a large congregation at the special services, which were conducted by Mr Keenan. At both services Mr Keenan gave sermons particularly suited to the occasion.
