GOOD STANDARD OF PLAY
IN BADMINTON TRIALS. TOURNAMENT TEAM SELECTED. On Saturday afternoon the Wairarapa Badminton Association’s A grade representative trials were held in the Drill Hall. The standard of play was good for so early in the season and augers well for Wairarapa’s chances in the inter-provincial matches. The following team will take part in the Inter-Provincial tournament to be held at Palmerston North on May 27 and 28:—Messrs P. Hawksworth, J. Lulham, J. Payton, A. Stubbings, Miss D Allen, Mrs P. Hawksworth, Miss B. Payton and Mrs D. Young. Emergencies: Mr L. Wilson and Miss L. Hosking. The names are not given in playing order.
