WIGRAM TRAGEDY
ALL THREE VICTIMS DEAD. AIRCRAFTSMAN WEST SUCCUMBS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 12. All three occupants of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Vickers Vildebeest aeroplane, which crashed into a tree and burst into flames at Wigram aerodrome, after carrying out nightflying exercises yesterday, are now dead. The names of the victims are:— Acting Pilot Officer Reginald James McCrorie; killed instantly. Pilot Officer William Frederick Dawson; died from burns. Leading Aircraftsman George Henry
West; died from burns. Pilot Officer Dawson died in the Christchurch hospital early this morning and Leading Aircraftsman West at 6.10 o'clock tonight.
Leading Aircraftsman West, who was aged 25, came from Bluff and had been stationed at Wigram for two years.
