CHURCH SERVICES
On Sunday morning, at St. Matthew's Church, the preacher will be Mr V. W. Joblin, and the Rev. T. V. Pearson will preach in the evening. There will be a celebration of the Holy Communion at Kuripuni, and service as usual in the evening. The monthly service at Bideford at 2.30 p.m. ' ■ The Mother’s Day services at the Salvation Army tomorrow will be conducted by Mrs Bartlett, from London. Mrs Bartlett is a fluent and powerful speaker. Bro. and Sis. Richards, from Wellington, will assist Mrs Bartlett throughout these special services with their sweet singing of Gospel songs. An invitation is extended to the public to be present at these services. Tributes to the power of Motherhood will be the feature of the special Mother’s Day services in the Methodist '■ Church tomorrow, and all are asked to wear the traditional white flower. At • the morning service, Mr E. Steer will be the preacher, while in the evening the Rev. Frederick J. Parker will speak on the subject, “Our Debt to Mother. At the Kuripuni Methodist Church tomorrow the Rev. Fred. J. Parker will be the morning preacher. At 2.30 p.m. a special Mother’s Day service will be held, with an interesting programme presented, the speaker being the Rev. J. M. Simpson. B.A. At 6.50 p.m. cars will leave for the town church. The Methodist service tomorrow at Rangitumau. at 2 p.m.. will be conducted by the Rev. Fred. J. Parker.
