ROAD ACCIDENT
YOUNG MAN FATALLY INJURED. ANOTHER IN SERIOUS CONDITION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Fatal internal injuries were received by Clarence Amo?, a farm labourer of Kaituna, aged about 22 years, when a car jn which he was travelling as a passenger left the road and somersaulted, landing on its hood, at Birdling’s Flat, at 3.20 a.m. today. Amos was later admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital, where he died at 6.25 a.m. The driver of the car, Ronald Turner, a railway surfaceman, of Ataahua, received injuries to his chest, and his condition is reported ’ from hospital as being serious.
