TRUST GOOD WISHES
DEPARTING JOURNALIST FAREWELLED. At last night’s meeting of the Mas- - terton Trust Lands Trust regret was expressed by the chairman, Mr H. P. Hugo, and other members at the impending departure of Mr E. H. Doherty, of the “Times-Age” literary staff. Mr Doherty leaves next month for Sydney to join the sporting sub-editorial staff of the Sydney “Sun.” Mr Hugo said Mr Doherty had at all times reported the affairs of the Trust accurately and well and had used discretion and good judgment. While they would regret his departure they would all join in wishing him every success in his new position. Mr E. G. Eton said he had come in contact with ■ Mr Doherty on many occasions and had always found his reports to be faithful and impartial. With his ability, he felt sure he would do well in Australia, Mr R. Krahagen said the older Trustees knew Mr Doherty’s work well and they would be sorry to see him go. He always seemed to know what to report and what not to report. Other members joined with the chairman in a motion wishing Mr Doherty the best of luck and prosperity in his new position.
