TRUST ELECTION

CONTEST FOR THREE ORDINARY VACANCIES MR J. T. JAMESON NOMINATED. FOUR CANDIDATES IN FIELD. Nominations closed at noon today for the three ordinary vacancies on the Masterton Trust Lands Trust. As four nominations have been received a poll will be necesary. In addition to the three retiring members, Messrs A. Owen Jones, E. G. Eton and C. E. Grey who are seeking re-election, Mr J. T. Jameson has been nominated. His nominators are Messrs A. D. Low find H. E. Pither. Nominations for the extraordinary vacancy caused by the retirement of Mr W. H. Jackson, do not close until noon on Monday. As there are already two candidates in the field, a poll will also be necessary for this seat. Messrs A. Page and W. L. Butler are the candidates so far announced.

The poll will be held on Thursday, May 25.
