BURGLARIES IN MASTERTON

MONEY & JEWELLERY TAKEN. For the first time for a considerable period, two Masterton houses were broken into on Wednesday night and money and jewellery stolen. In both cases entry was gained through unfastened windows while the occupants were away. The biggest haul was secured at Mr C. W. Kerry’s house in Cornwall Street, where some jewellery and the sum of £l9 in cash were taken. The money was in a wallet in a coat hanging in a bedroom. Two rings and a small amount of money were taken from Mr H. P. Glen’s house in College Street. Detective-Sergeant W. Kane has the matters in hand.
