LENIENT SENTENCE
IRISHMAN IN POSSESSION OF EXPLOSIVES. NOT MEMBER OF REPUBLICAN ARMY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, May 10. Cormac McGarrigle has been sentenced to fifteen months imprisonment for being in possession of explosives. The Judge explained that this leniency was due to the fact that McGarrigle is not a member of the 1.R.A., but of the Irish Citizen Army, which is not engaged in terrorism.
