WAGON DERAILED
EXPRESS TRAIN DELAYED IN CANTERBURY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. ASHBURTON. May 10. The south-bound express train was delayed an hour and a half at Bankside, a few miles north of Rakaia, and a local train was also delayed because of damage to the permanent way through the derailing of a wagon on a night goods train. It is reported that the derailed wagon was dragged three miles before the mishap was noticed, but only a few sleepers had to be replaced.
