At, the wool sales, 7,879 bales were offered including 4,229 New Zealand, and 6,793 were sold. A good selection was offered, chiefly New Zealand crossbreds. which, together with the best Merinos met with an active trade demand at firm rates, the former occasionally favouring sellers. New Zealand lots sold as follows:— Balmoral combing, 23d to 24Jd; greasy. Longburn, 9;'d to 14d; H.B. Me., 9ijd to 14;;d. (These prices represent the lowest and highest prices obtained). BRADFORD TRADE GOOD DEMAND & HEAVY CONSUMPTION. (Received This Day, 11.50 a.m.) LONDON, May-8. On the Bradford market, crossbreds are firm, with good demand and heavy consumption of forty-eights and below. Merinos are quiet, but quotations are well maintained.
