Rsuter’s special correspondent aboard the Empress of Australia reports on the second day out that the liner is passing a rain belt and pitching in a- moderate sea. Five Atlantic trawlers sirened greetings. ENVELOPING FOG. LINER SLOWS. TO TWELVE KNOTS. (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, May 8. A fog enveloped, the Empress of Australia and the vessel has slowed down to twelve knots an hour ana the siren is being sounded intermittently. The escorting naval vessels fell astern, into single line, on the second day’s run of 39G miles.
