BUILDING LOAN

BOROUGH COUNCIL PROPOSAL At a special meeting of the Masterton Borough Council, held today, a resolution was passed applying to the Local Government Loans Board for sanction to borrow the sunt of £3,000 for the purpose of erecting a dwelling house and outbuildings on the borough’s endowment lands near Eketahuna. The currency of the loan is to be for 20 years and the rate of interest 3J per cent, plus a sinking fund of 3'l per cent. The security for the loan will be a special rate of 5-64th of a Id in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the borough.
