PUBLIC NOTICES. MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL. HEAVY TRAFFIC BY-LAW. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that, whereas the Masterton County Council has, by resolution, determined that, owing to weather conditions, the road mentioned in the schedule .hereto, while fit for HEAVY TRAFFIC up to the weight set opposite thereto in the said schedule, shall be UNFIT FOR HEAVY TRAFFIC exceeding the weight so determined for the period commencing on the Ist day of May, 1939, and ending on the 30th day of September, 1939. Now the Masterton County Council hereby orders that HEAVY TRAFFIC exceeding the weight so determined shall cease upon the road in the schedule during the period aforesaid. SCHEDULE. Upper Taueru Riding—Mangaparuparu Road 3 tons Dated at Masterton this 24th' day of April, 1939. J. C. D. MACKLEY. County Clerk. MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL. FRESH TENDERS, addressed to the r “Chairman,” and marked “Contract No. 183," will be received at the Office of the undersigned, where plans and specifications may be seen until NOON on FRIDAY, the 12th day of May, 1939, for the undermentioned work: — Contract No. 183. —Construction of approximately sixty (60) chains of road deviation and widening, including base course metalling and culverting, at the Taueru, on the No. 64 Masterton-Castlepoint Main Highway, seven miles from Masterton. Plans and specifications may also be seen at the Offices of Messrs Seaton, Sladden and Pavitt, Consulting Engineers, 20 Brandon Street, Wellington, and at Perry Street, Masterton.
