Vancouver. —Total waterborne lumber shipments from Canada’s Pacific Cbast province of British Columbia in 1938 amounted to 1,192,195.672 board feet in comparison with 1.107,377.269 feet in 1937. Evidence of broadeningmarkets in the British West Indies and a higher demand from New Zealand contributed to this increased traffic. Most of the lumber shipped was Douglas pine.
