e MAN BADLY WOUNDED IN FOOT IN FOOT. RESULT OF SLIP ON SLOPE (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WHANGAREI, This Day. The first casualty of the local shooting season, occurred just after daylight this morning, when Mr W. J. Brydon, proprietor of the Kamo Hotel, had his foot so badly injured that its amputation is regarded as inevitable. Mr Brydon slipped on dead leaves on a slope and his gun went off, the charge passing througn a foot. His cries brought assistance and he was taken to hospital by ambulance.
