AUSTRALIAN AND TRADE RESTRICTIONS EFFECT OF NEW ZEALAND POLICY. EXPECTED TO BE SERIOUS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 11.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Minister of Commerce, Senator McCleay, said Australia’s loss of trade because of the New Zealand’s trade restrictions would be about £1,500,000 a year. He added that the Federal Government was' deeply concerned about the effect of the restrictions, especially in view of the money that had been spent by Australians in opening up new business in New Zealand.
