At the wool sales, 7854 bales were offered, including 3319 from New Zealand, and 6504 were sold. A fairly good selection met with active competition, chiefly from the Home trade, especially for New Zealand wools. Rates generally were well maintained. Now Zealand greasy Merino, Richmond, brought 12d to 14d; Cross, 13d to 13id; scoured crossbred crutchings, Aramoho. lid to 113 d; slipe crossbred, lambs’, Fairfield, 15Ad to 16,|d.
