Ottawa. —Canning factories in Canada had an output of approximately 60,000,0()0 pounds of canned fruit and 275,000,000 pounds of canned vegetables in 1938. Apples, peaches and pears accounted for approximately 38,000,000 pounds of the fruit output while toinatoes, peas, baked beans and corn represented practically 90 per cent of the vegetables.
