WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

MEETING AT OPAKI. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Opaki Women’s Institute was held’on Thursday when Mrs Wingate presided over a good attendance. Mrs Beetham was tendered a hearty Vote of thanks for the beautiful banner which she had worked and donated to the Institute. The competitions were won as fol-lows:—-Best blbbfii, Mrs Harris and Mrs Miller, equal, 1; Miss lorns, 2. Scones: Mrs Rayner and Mrs Weston, equal, 1; Miss lorns, 2. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs Miller. The meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
