AUSTRALIA & UNITED STATES MR S. M. BRUCE’S VISIT TO WASHINGTON. TALK WITH MR CORDELL HULL. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. WASHINGTON, May 3. Mr S. M. Bruce, Australian High Commissioner in London, accompanied by Sir Ronald Lindsay, British Ambassador, conferred today with Mr Cordell Hull, Secretary of State, for half an hour. Mr Bruce told the Australian Associated Press that they discussed the general world situation and its economic aspects, not going beyond broad principles.

The general atmosphere so far as Australia and the United States was concerned, Mr Bruce considered very good. He expressed’ the opinion that the two countries were continually getting closer together.
