EXPANSION IN UNITED STATES STATES. URGED BY COLONEL LINDBERGH. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. WASHINGTON, May 3. Colonel Lindbergh is reported to have privately informed Government officials and aeronautical experts that unless the United States began an immediate expansion of aviation research facilities.it would be unable to overtake the European Powers in five years. He placed Germany first, Britain second and France and Italy equal third in air research, Russia not being an important factor in that connection.
