SHEEP DOG TRIALS
MASTERTON COLLIE CLUB FIXTURE. RESULTS OF YESTERDAY’S EVENTS. The Masterton Collie Club commenced its annual sheep dog trials at Te Ore Ore yesterday. Splendid entries were received for the various events and keen and interesting contests were witnessed. The trials are being continued today and will be concluded tomorrow. The judge is Mr R. J. McDonald, of Dannevirke. Yesterday’s results were as follow: Open Long Head: J. F. Wilsher (Eketahuna). Roy, 45 points, 1; G. Thompson (Masterton). Speed, 41J points, 2; H. M. McGuinness (Carterton). Tex, 41 points. 3; R. D. Cameron (Masterton), King. 401 points, 4: M. J. Wilton (Masterton), Jack Wallace. 40 points, 5. Maiden Long Head: John Wilton (Masterton), Lott, 32 J points, 1; K. A. Wilton (Masterton), Jill. 31 points, 2: J. Graham (Tinui). 30 points, 3; M. J. Wilton (Masterton), Bessie. 291 points, 4.
