GREAT ON CYCLES
CONDITIONS AT HOLLYWOOD. Hollywood is great op cycles. One producer makes a hit and the rest ol them can’t rush in quickly enough tc make the same type of picture. In the end they kill that type of picture and drive people out of theatres. In the last year we have had a bad over-dose of air films, some of them not so good, either. There were “Test Pilot,” "Women in the Wind,” “Tailspin,” “Men With Wings,” “Dawn Patrol,” “Wings of the Navy,” and now other studios are producing “Plane 4,” “Wings of To-morrow,” the Corrigan picture, and “Air Raid.” If the producers are not careful people will run from theatres the moment they hear the roar of planes from the screen or the cry of “Contact.” And I guess we'll get sick to death of a cycle of horror pictures by the end of this year.
