MAGISTRATE'S COURT

FORTNIGHTLY MASTERTON SITTING. Mr H. P. Lawry. S.M., presided at the fortnightly sitting of the Masterton Magistrate’s Court, held today. H. S. Sherbrook was fined £3 and 10s for crossing a railway level crossing when the line was not clear. “You are guilty of an offence if you cross a railway line when a train is within half a mile,” the Magistrate said. For operating a motor vehicle without carrying a warrant of fitness, V. Mangham was fined £1 and 10s costs. Roy Jansen was fined 5s and £1 16s Gd costs for allowing stock to wander.
