The Interstate Conference of the Australian Labour Party decided to convene a conference in Sydney of all Labour organisations, in the.hope of restoring unity in the Labour movement in New South Wales. .This decision is a rebuff to the Lang faction, which sponsored a motion favouring the straight-out absorption of the Haffron Industrial Labour Party. The chairman of the conference, Mr Makin, received a cablegram from the New Zealand Labour Party expressing hopes for unity in the Australian Labour movement and ocst wishes for success at the next Federal elections.
