The President of the Board of Trade, Mr Oliver Stanley, told the House of Commons that the “guarantees recently given by the Government to Poland; Rumania and Greece were made foi other than commercial reasons. “The economic aspect of our relations with'these countries, however, is under consideration with a view to mutual advantage,” Mr Stanley added. “Mr R. S. Hudson recently visited Poland, to discuss with the Ministers concerned a number of projects- for the development of trade between our two countries. There is a trade mission in Rumania at present and it is intended that Sir Frederick Leith Ross should proceed to Greece to discuss economic questions. ” _______
