BRITAIN TAKING ACTION. BALKAN & OTHER COUNTRIES. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 10.8 a.m.) RUGBY, May 2. The President of the Board of Trade, Mr Oliver Stanley, told the House of Commons that the “guarantees recently given by the Government to Poland; Rumania and Greece were made foi other than commercial reasons. “The economic aspect of our relations with'these countries, however, is under consideration with a view to mutual advantage,” Mr Stanley added. “Mr R. S. Hudson recently visited Poland, to discuss with the Ministers concerned a number of projects- for the development of trade between our two countries. There is a trade mission in Rumania at present and it is intended that Sir Frederick Leith Ross should proceed to Greece to discuss economic questions. ” _______
