FORMER U.S.A. COMMERCE SECRETARY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. 'WASHINGTON, May 2. President Roosevelt has nominated the former Secretary of Commerce, Mr Daniel Roper, as Minister to Canada. Early Senate confirmation is expected. Mr Cordell Hull, Secretary of State, is planning for Mr Roper to go to Ottawa in time to represent the United States when the King and Queen arrive.
