i lie nly H U • Silver Sight, the best of a moderate lot of Riccarton hurdlers, has gone on the right way since he won at the Easter meeting at Riccarton. and it has been decided that he will contest the Great Northern Hurdle Race at Ellerslie in June. There is no doubt about the ability of the Silverado gelding on top of the ground, but he does not appreciate very soft going, and Ellerslie in June frequently provides such. Silver Sight, whose retirement has been announced more than once, has had a remarkable career, and it would be fitting were he to win a really important race before definitely bidding farewell to the turf. He is one of the best examples of a horse improving after the throat operation, and his case must be considered an absolute success. Cuisinier Well. The double winner at the Feilding Easter meeting. Cuisinier, worked out with his stable-mate, Aurora's Star, over six furlongs on Wednesday, and showed that he had taken no harm by his -recent racing in heading the filly off over the last furlong. Now that he has muscled.up, Cuisinier looks as if he may prove useful over hurdles,, when his connections decide to try him in that direction.
