CRIPPLED CHILDREN
MEETING OF LOCAL EXECUTIVE. MRS KILGOUR APPOINTED WELFARE OFFICER. Various reports regarding thirteen crippled children cases, including two new ones, were considered at the fortnightly meeting of the executive of the N.Z. Crippled Children Society held yesterday. Two cases are to be sent to Hospital for investigation and treatment. An opinion is to be.obtained in two other cases regarding specialist treatment. The work done by willing helpers in making a bed book for a little girl was gratefully acknowledged. It was reported that a permanent teacher had been appointed for the teaching of crippled children at the Hospital. Mrs N. Kilgour was appointed permanent Welfare Officer to the branch. Her work for the crippled children during the past six months is greatly appreciated not only by .the children -and parents but also by the society members.
The annual meeting is to be held on Tuesday. May 23, at 7.30 p.m. All persons interested in the work of the sqciety are invited to attend.
