MASTERTON CLUB. SEASON ACTIVITIES OPENED. The Masterton. Indoor Bowling Club commenced the season’s activities with the rinks competition. A pleasing feature was the number of new players who should soon be proficient at the game. The following is the result of last week’s games 'skips names only):— Edwards 24 beat Hendry 12, Nuttall 26 beat Joyce 5, Finlayson 21 beat Fenton 13, Davies 19 beat Leigh 16, Leigh 22 beat Pickering 17, Edwards 19 beat Finlayson 18, Nuttall 20 beat Hendry 15, Fenton 22 beat Joyce 16. Fixtures for this week are as follows: —Wednesday, 7 p.m. —No 1: Gleeson, Allan, Barnes, Dixon (s) v Trott, Jansen, Grantham, Joyce (s); No. 2: R.
