TRUST ELECTION
RESIGNATION OF MR W. H. JACKSON. LONG ASSOCIATION SEVERED. After an association with the Trust Lands Trust since 1907, Mr W. H. Jackson has resigned from that body. Mr Jackson was chairman of the Trust on several occasions and for many years was also chairman of the education committee. As ■ headmaster of the Central School, Mr Jackson was largely responsible for the framing of the scholarship clauses embodied in the Trust Act and he brought forward at different times many other suggestions of value in the conduct of the Trust’s affairs in relation to education. The establishment and building-up of the Central School Museum, in collaboration with the Trust and with its assistance, was also accomplished by Mr Jackson, who throughout <his connection with the Trust has taken a keen interest in all education activities. For many years he was the Trust representative on the Wairarapa Secondary Education Board find latterly he "'ollege Board of Governors. Ml JueksanV resignation takes effect from Saturday last. Nominations are now being called to fill the extraordinary vacancy caused by his resignation and also for the return of three representatives whose term of office has expired by effuxion of time. These members, Messrs A. Owen Jones, C. Grey and E. G. Eton, are all seeking re-election. Nominations for the extraordinary vacancy close on Monday, May 15, and for the ordinary vacancies Friday, May 12. The poll will A; necessary, on May 25.
