The April averages of cows tested by the Wairarapa Herd Testing Association are as follow: — Greytown No 1 group: Cows under test 778; monthly group average, 3291 b milk, 17.61 b fat; highest herd average, 59 cows, 271 b fat; highest cow 501 b fat. Greytown No 2 group: Cows under test, 1046; monthly group average, 2781 b milk; 14.61 b fat; highest herd average, 28 cows, 21 ib fat; highest cow, 451 b fat. I Gladstone group: Cows under test, 11067; monthly group average, 2671 b milk, 15.31 b fat; highest herd average, 32 cows, 221 b fat; highest cow, 541 b fat. Featherston group: cows under test; 1602; monthly group average, 3251 b milk, 171 b fat; highest herd average,. 100 cows, 221 b fat; highest cow, 511 b fat. Martinborough group:- Cows under] test, 1039; monthly group average, 2791 b milk. 14.91 b fat; highest herd average. 42 cows, 211 b fat; highest cow, 401 b fat. Pahautea group: Cows under test, 443; monthly group average, 2751 b milk, 16.71 b fat; highest herd average, 41 cows, 251 b fat; highest cow, 431 b fat. Association summary (figures for corresponding month in the previous season shown in parentheses): Cows under test, 5975 (7096); monthly association average, 2951 b milk (4271 b milk), 161 b fat (22.021 b fat); highest herd average, 59 cows, 271 b fat (64 cows, 361 b fat); highest cow, 541 b fat (771 b fat).
