FEATHERSTON

SOCIAL AND DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) A social and dance for the Blue Queen, Miss Anne Fellingham, was held in the Methodist Hall when there was a good attendance of young people. The evening was spent in competitions and dancing. A debate was won by Miss Jean Brash and Mr Tom Gain. The statue fox trot was won by Mr A. Savage and Miss P. Jeffery, and the Monte Carlo by Mr J. Saba and Miss M. Tait. Miss Noeline Wilton played a much appreciated pianoforte solo. The competition for a box of chocolates was won by B. Barnard. Mr P. Clarke was M.C., and the music was supplied by Miss J. Brash, Messrs J. Buck, B. Barnard and P. Clark. Misses Doreen Lowell and M. McCallum were the organisers. Euchre Tournament. There was a fair attendance at the weekly euchre tournament held in the Anzac Hall. The prize winners were: Ladies, Mrs Simmonds 1, Mrs Lowell 2. Men. Miss Ruane (acting) 1, Mrs Rae (acting) 2.
