ROTARY CLUB

WEEKLY MASTERTON FUNCTION

ADDRESS BY MR T. JORDAN. The president, Rotarian H. H. Daniell, presided at the weekly luncheon of the Masterton Rotary Club held today. The speaker was the Mayor of Masterion, Mr T. Jordan, who after reviewing his address given at the Dawn Parade on Anzac Day in Wellington, went on to deliver what Rotarian E. M. Hodder described when moving a hearty vote of thanks as “A Call to Service.” Mr Jordan said in part: “I believe that today the whole world is seeking some way out of the morass and state of flux and I believe that what docs crystallise out of that state of flux depends on what contributions wo make. I believe that if wo do our job and make a worth-while contribution then out of the troubled state we 'lie in wi|] come some very great good.’’ He was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
