TABLE TENNIS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Mauriceville Table Tennis Club opened the season on Monday night when a big crowd of players attended from other clubs including the following: Winter Sports Club, Catholic Club. Kuripuni, Hastwells, Kopuaranga and Mauriceville West clubs. The winners of the competition were Messrs G. Remnant and R. Gleeson, who had 15 on and accounted for Miss V. Lochore and Mr R. Clarke in the final, 31/24. Supper was served by the ladies and dancing was continued til’, midnight. Personal. Mr and Mrs G. McWhinter and family have left on a holiday to be spent in Taranaki and Hawke’s Bay. Mrs P. Wilkin, of Ashhurst, is the guest of Mrs F. Wilken. Benefit Social and Dance. A benefit social and dance will be held in the Mauriceville East Hall tonight in aid of Health Camp and Crippled Children.
