MO KATOA SCOUTS
FAIR TO BE HELD ON SATURDAY. The approaching Scout jamboree to be held at Heretaunga in conjunction with the Centennial celebrations is the first of its kind to take place in New Zealand. The Masterton Citizen's Mo Katoa Troop Committee is anxious to send about 20 representatives and with that end in view a fund is being raised to defray some of the expenses involv. ed. In order to further this fund a fair will be held on Saturday. April 29. at the Scout Den. Dixon Street (old Wrestling Hall). Admission is free. The proceedings will commence with a pram race from the Post Office. Another attraction will be a baby show for babies from six months to one year and from one year to two years. A sponge competition will also be held. No entry fee is being charged for these, competitions and good prizes are being offered. A sweet competition will be open for all Scouts. Stalls of produce, vegetables, etc. will no doubt be well patronised and afternoon tea will be available.
