GOLF CLUB MEETING. ("Times-Age” Special.) The annual meeting of the Martinborough Golf Club was held in the supper room of the Town Hall last evening. Mr W. G. Martin presided over about 26 members. The annual report and balance sheet, showing a surplus of £42 5s 6d„ was adopted. Twelve new members were elected. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—President, Mrs W. W. J. Martin; vice-presidents, Mrs M. Pain, Messrs A. F. Harding, F. Wall, H. W. Blundell, J. Martin. J. .D. McDougall, H. L. Griffiths; club captain, Mr H. W. Blundell; vice-captain, Mr John Pike; committee, Messrs W. G. Martin, J. Martin, N. Mason, K. D. Arthur, S. W. Martin, C. Moore, V. Rankine; auditor, Mr K. Arthur; hon secretary, Mr H. F. Harvey. The official opening will take place on April 29. The annual meeting of the Ladies’ Golf Club was held in the supper room of the Town Hall last night, Miss M. C. Martin presiding over a fair attendance of members. Two apologies of absence were received. Five new members and one junior were elected. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Club captain, Mrs Marflitt; secretary, Miss Harvey (re-elected); committee, Mesdames McConnell, Parsons, Moore, Knutson, Griffiths and Miss M. C. Moore.
