WHATMAN BEQUEST
FUTURE OF RESIDENCE MENTIONED. The future of the residence bequeath by the late Mr A. P. Whatman for a convalescent home was mentioned at yesteraay’s meeting of the Wairarapa Hospital Board when the estimates were being considered. The chairman, Mr H. H. Mawley, said they could not put money on the estimates for an unknown cause. Officials of the Health Department were coming to Masterton to advise the board what to do with the property, and he considered that in the meantime no action be taken. His suggestion was adopted.
