» WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING. SEASON TO OPEN APRIL 29. The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Hockey Association was held in the P and A. Rooms, Carterton, last evening, the president, Mr G. Hayne, presiding over a large attendance of members. The annual report as previously published was adopted. The balance sheet showed a satisfactory credit balance. The election of officers resulted as | follows: —Patron, Mr J. Fisher (Clareville); president, Mr G.. Hayne (Masterton); vice-presidents. Messrs T Hanley, C. N. Cole, €. W. Tooby, D. A. Pickering, G. Watkins and L. S. Nisecretary and treasurer, Mr R. S. Moor; delegate to New Zealand Hockey Association, Mr T. W. Richmond (Christchurch); hon. auditor, Mr E. R. Rogers; fixtures committee, Messrs R. Foster, R. S. Moor; postponement committee, Messrs Foster, Fleet and S. Fisher. It was decided to open the season on Saturday, April 29. Five senior teams and 9 junior teams were entered for the competition. The Hastwell Club was granted affiliation- to the association. It was desired to hold the annual tournament on the King’s Birthday. The following committee was elected: Messrs R. Foster, H. Wright, C. N. Cole. D. A. Pickering and E. W. Tooby. A special committee comprising Messrs G. Hayne, G. Maloney and M. Worsfold was appointed to revise the constitution, and to report to a special general meeting to be held on Wednesday, May 3. A remit that the patron, president and vice-presidents be exofficio members of the Management Committee will also be dealt with at the next meeting. It was decided to enter a challenge for the Nordon Cup.' The following players were regraded from senior to junior: Hobson, Bradender, Thompson and Humphries (Greytown) and G. Hanley (College). It was decided that three selectors be appointed for senior and junior representative teams. The Management Committee will meet on the first Monday in each month. The annual balance sheet and bulletin were received from the New Zealand Association.
