9 HEAVY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS. SOME ROADS TO BE CLOSED TEMPORARILY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The official council notices referred to on this page yesterday, concerning the closing of certain roads to heavy traffic during May, June, July, August and September, were inadvertently omitted in one edition of yesterday s paper, but appear on this page of today’s issue and will be advertised again on Saturday. On the roads set out in the notice traffic exceeding the following weights is prohibited by recent resolution of the council: (a) Traffic 3 tons in weight in the case of the transportation of any motor vehicle; (b) l- 2 tons in weight to each pair of wheels in the case of any other motor vehicle, engine or machine. A similar notice also limits the maximum weight of vehicular traffic on the Moeraki, Hinakura and Ngakonui bridges.
