RAILWAYS FINANCE
FORECAST OF LAST YEAR’S RESULTS. NET REVENUE OF £700,000. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The New Zealand railways net revenue for the year ended March ’3l will be £700,000 and the gross revenue over £9,000,000. This forecast was made today by the General Manager of Railways (Mr G. H. Mackley), who left on< a holiday trip to Walmate and Pembroke. “All the indications are that the Minister’s anticipations will be realised.’’ ■said Mr Mackley. “The figures Will show a record year 'of operation.”
