EKETAHUNA

DRUNKEN MOTORIST FINED. (“Times-Age” Special.) Before Messrs H. E. Greathead and J. S. Tripe, J’s.P., in the Eketahuna Magistrate’s Court, Frederick Charles Cress, of Pahiatua, was fined £l5" and had his licence cancelled for two years for having been drunk while in charge of a car. In endorsing his licence, the Bench said that in spite of the stand taken by the Minister of Transport, fines seemed of little avail and the endorsement would be a greater deterrent than a fine. Personal. I Mr and Mrs F. Robinson have returned to Eketahuna. Mr Robinson, who visited his parents at Christchurch, will resume duty at the Post Office tomorrow.
